And Bellator wasted no time throwing Davis (13-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) right into the fire. Tonight, the veteran of 13 UFC fights – with wins over the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Lyoto Machida, Glover Teixeira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira – takes part in the one-night, four-man light heavyweight tournament at Bellator 142. Davis draws former champ Emanuel Newton (25-8-1 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) in the first round of the tourney. On the other side of the bracket is a fight between Muhammed Lawal and Linton Vassell
