Silva, who wants to rep Brazil in next year’s games, meets Wednesday with the Brazilian Taekwondo Federation. The federation, which oversees the country’s Olympic presence in the sport, announced a Wednesday press conference with the 40-year-old Brazilian fighter and Carlos Fernandes, its president. According to the release, they’ll discuss the “possibility of Anderson Silva representing Brazilian taekwondo at the 2016 Olympic Games.” Silva, the UFC’s former and longtime middleweight champion, is one of the most prominent figures in MMA history and a superstar athlete in his home country
