Filed under: Bellator , Featured Videos , News , Videos Emanuel Newton ’s most recent fight didn’t go the way he wanted, but the former Bellator light heavyweight champion is days away from a major chance to remove some of that sting. Newton (25-8-1 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) lost his title to Liam McGeary at Bellator 134 in Feb. On top of the unanimous decision loss, Newton tested positive for marijuana metabolites after the fight, resulting in a three-month suspension. The short suspension allows Newton to participate in the four-man light heavyweight tournament to crown a title challenger at ‘Bellator 142: Dynamite.’ The event takes place Sept. 19 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif
