Efrain Escudero Efrain Escudero will become just the seventh fighter in history to win a season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show and later return to coach when he takes the helm on “TUF: Latin America 2″ later this month. A fighter going from contestant to coach is not an uncommon occurrence, but none of Escudero’s predecessors can claim to have taken a more tumultuous road from destination to destination. Escudero (23-9 MMA, 4-5 UFC) won the “TUF 8″ lightweight tournament in 2008, but he had difficulty getting his career off the ground. The organization released him after just five fights, and at the time, he was the first “TUF” winner to get the ax. He then faced the difficult task of working his way back to the octagon, which he did in 15 months
