Dana White’s Contender Series standout Luis Saldana has his first UFC assignment. The promotion is currently targeting a fight between Saldana (14-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Jordan Griffin for the UFC Fight Night event on April 10, which takes place at an unannounced location and venue. Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the targeted booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. MMA DNA was first to report the news. Saldana earned his UFC contract with a vicious knockout of Team Alpha Male’s Vince Murdock on DWCS last November. Following two consecutive front kicks to the face, Saldana finished Murdock with punches in Round 3
