Austin Bashi came into Dana White’s Contender Series 70 with a tremendous amount of hype, and he may have exited with even more. He’d turned down multiple UFC opportunities in the past in order to ensure his readiness for the big show, he and his team explained to MMA Junkie before the fight. Ramos, 30, was a short notice replacement for Sean O’Malley protege Tommy McMillian, who pulled out of the fight days prior due to injury.
