Nate Diaz is no longer with the UFC but returning to the promotion at some point doesn’t seem out of the question. For months fans have wondered what could entice him back to the UFC and, when asked at the UFC 291 media day, Dustin Poirier was open to that being a fight with him. “Like I always say, I don’t look too far ahead and book myself in fights that aren’t even realistic or a possibility until other things happen,” Poirier said. “But if (Diaz) comes back, I’ll beat him up.” The pair were booked for a fight in 2018 but it fell through and never able to come together again. Perhaps if Diaz wins the BMF belt on Saturday, a belt that Diaz helped create, he could return to fight for it.
