After Brendan Allen once again criticized him prior to UFC Fight Night 252 on Saturday, Dricus Du Plessis pounced on his opportunity to fire back. Allen (24-7 MMA, 12-4 UFC) suffered a unanimous decision loss to Anthony Hernandez (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) in their middleweight rematch at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. Prior to the contest, Allen tore down the resume of current UFC middleweight champion Du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and said it’s far less impressive in reality than it is on paper. Du Plessis bit his tongue in the immediate aftermath, but it didn’t last long after the fight.
