NEW YORK – Douglas Lima is heading into the Bellator 232 main event knowing he’s already lost to defending welterweight champion Rory MacDonald , but he says that defeat will prove to be the factor that helps him win Saturday night’s rematch. Lima, the former two-time Bellator champion, lost his title to MacDonald (21-5-1 MMA, 3-1-1 BMMA) in their first meeting at Bellator 192 in January 2018 as he dropped a unanimous decision to the Canadian after a punishing five rounds. Now the pair is set to meet again with the stakes even higher, and Lima (31-7 MMA, 13-3 BMMA) says he’s ready to turn the tables and walk away with the spoils. “For me, every fight is the biggest, and this one is no different, you know,” Lima told MMA Junkie at Wednesday’s media day.
