BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Douglas Lima has long been one of the most underrated figures in MMA. The two-time Bellator welterweight champion holds numerous promotional records and has beaten many notable names, but still somewhat lacks in popularity. Lima (31-7 MMA, 13-3 BMMA) feels a turn of the tide happening, though, and it couldn’t come at a better time. “The Phenom” has arguably the biggest fight of his career scheduled for Oct. 26 when he rematches Rory MacDonald (21-5-1 MMA, 3-1-1 BMMA) for the 170-pound belt at Bellator 232 in what’s also the finals of the welterweight grand prix, which will award the winner a $1 million prize.
