While the bout won’t be taking place on July 11, McGregor (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) hasn’t turned down the verbal heat directed at Aldo (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC). One constant focus in the build-up to Aldo-McGregor has been if McGregor has gone too far with his verbal assaults toward the champion. While McGregor will now face Chad Mendes (17-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) for an interim belt, his behavior in building up the original fight is still a hotly debated topic. MMAjunkie caught up with several UFC fighters – including former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafsson (16-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) – to ask their thoughts on McGregor’s behavior. “Well, you know, he’s doing his thing,” Gustafsson said.
