Jeff Novitzky When it comes to the drug-testing programs of the major sports organizations in the U.S., they currently have something the UFC doesn’t. The NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL’s programs all include some type of treatment program for substances of abuse, including cocaine, opiates, amphetamines and marijuana. The UFC’s new anti-doping policy , which went into effect July 1, doesn’t have any meaningful mention of a treatment program, nor does it mention assistance to those who voluntarily seek help for a substance-abuse problem.
