If Siyar Bahadurzada ’s coaches knew what he was dealing with in the lead-up to Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 128 event, he said he probably wouldn’t have been allowed to fight. But it’s probably a good thing he did. In an FS1-televised preliminary-card bout at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., Bahadurzada (24-6-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) scored a second-round knockout win over welterweight Luan Chagas (15-3-1 MMA, 1-2-1 UFC). It marked Bahadurzada’s third straight victory and earned him a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus , but it nearly didn’t happen.
