This past May, former UFC heavyweight Dave Herman picked up his first win since 2011 with a unanimous decision victory over Kalib Starnes at Titan FC 28. Looking back over the win, Herman told MMAWeekly.com in deadpan fashion, “It went three rounds, to a decision, and that’s only the second one of those, so that’s kind of an accomplishment in itself… sort of.” While he is happy with the win, Herman admits that fighting lighter than he had been in a long time caused him to not be as effective as he could have been. “I just felt really weak,” said Herman. “I hadn’t lifted at all – maybe twice in a week – but I didn’t have a lifting routine at all. I was the lightest I’d ever weighed in by 10 pounds
