Rumors have swirled around UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre ever since he uttered the words that he needed to “step away” from the fight game for a little while to deal with some personal issues following his split-decision victory over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in November. St-Pierre has been evasive in regard to just what he meant by saying he was “stepping away,” leaving everyone wondering if that meant he was considering retirement. The champ is expected to make a public appearance this weekend, where he could clear up his fighting future. Of course, no one wants to wait, we all want to know now. UFC president Dana White recently met with UFC Central to discuss several hot UFC topics, but not burning hotter than Georges St-Pierre.
