Dana White has been vocal whenever he sees something he disagrees with in a sport he significantly helped build, and his recent comments were no different. At UFC 309 on Saturday night, Jon Jones successfully defended his heavyweight strap in dominant fashion. He delivered a one-sided display against former champion Stipe Miocic and further cemented his legacy as the greatest to ever do it. Despite the performance , Jones only managed to capture the second spot in the UFC pound-for-pound list—with Islam Makhachev holding his position atop the rankings. As expected, this didn’t sit right with Dana White who lashed out on social media once the ranking update went live. White has been defending Jon Jones’ legacy for several years, insisting that not only is ‘Bones’ the pound-for-pound best in the world, but he is also the greatest fighter to ever walk the face of the earth
