It appears UFC president Dana White has had a change of heart regarding the signing of Kayla Harrison . Shortly after White questioned if reigning PFL women’s lightweight champion Harrison (9-0) would be ready for the UFC, he seems a lot more open to having her join the roster. “Yeah, I know her contract’s up soon,” White said in an interview with Big Night Breaks . “I don’t know if she’s ready to come over here yet, or her people feel she’s ready to come over here yet, but when she is, we’re ready.” Two-time Olympic gold medalist Harrison has run through competition so far in her unbeaten MMA tenure. She opened up the PFL season with a bang when she made quick work of Mariana Morais at 2021 PFL 3 and is a heavy favorite to win the $1 million yearly prize offered to champions once again. Though the UFC doesn’t currently have a women’s 155-pound division, Harrison has already proven she can hit the featherweight mark, when she made her successful 145-pound debut with a finish of Courtney King in a one-off fight with Invicta FC.
