In suffering the first loss of his career last year, featherweight prospect Dan “Hitman” Moret changed his strategy for fighting and feels like he’s come out better for it. Following a dominant first round against Luke Sanders at RFA 13 in March of 2014, Moret admittedly took his foot off the gas and in the process let his opponent take control of the fight and get the win. “It was a big learning experience for me; gauging what happened there and what I did to let that fight slip away,” Moret told MMAWeekly.com. “I give Luke all the credit in the world, but it’s a fight I felt I gave away instead of was beat in. I let him work his way back into the fight and wrestle himself to a victory.
