Friday night’s Bellator 222 main event between Rory MacDonald and Neiman Gracie isn’t just a battle for MacDonald’s Bellator welterweight championship. Indeed, when the popular Canadian and the up-and-comer with one of MMA’s most famous surnames compete in the cage at Madison Square Garden, it will also determine which fighter will advance to face former titleholder Douglas Lima in the finals of the company’s welterweight grand prix tourney.
