OK, OK – maybe Urijah Faber coming out of retirement this past Saturday wasn’t that big of a surprise to some of you. After all, MMA fighters retire and come back all the time. And Faber, in particular, has stayed pretty close to the sport thanks to the Team Alpha Male gym he founded and runs, and its slew of fighters in the UFC. But you have to admit to being at least moderately surprised he not only won as a pretty sizable underdog, but that Faber (35-10 MMA, 11-6 UFC) knocked out Ricky Simon (15-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) just 46 seconds into their bantamweight co-main event at UFC on ESPN+ 13 in Faber’s home city of Sacramento, Calif. He hadn’t won a fight by knockout since WEC 25 in January 2007 – more than 12 years prior
