Cory Sandhagen is ready and willing to serve as an alternate for the upcoming UFC bantamweight title fight. Sandhagen (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) reinserted himself into title contention when he finished Marlon Moraes in the second round at UFC on ESPN+ 37, rebounding from his first-round submission loss to Aljamain Sterling in June. In his first title defense, 135-pound champion Petr Yan is scheduled to face Sterling at UFC 256 on Dec. 12, and as long as he’s not booked, Sandhagen is happy to jump in if needed. “Yeah, definitely that’s my plan,” Sandhagen told MMA Junkie Radio
