In this past Saturday’s UFC 205 headliner, featherweight champion McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) dethroned lightweight titleholder Eddie Alvarez (28-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) via second-round TKO to become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two belts. After the pay-per-view fight, which marked the UFC’s Madison Square Garden and New York City debut, McGregor announced he’ll soon be a father – and that he now wants a piece of the UFC ownership . Not everyone has taken that demand seriously. Perhaps that’s why McGregor retweeted a message he posted in 2014.
