It should come as no surprise that Colby Covington is looking to delve into politics after fighting. An avid supporter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, Covington has always been outspoken about his politics. Covington is fresh off a title loss to UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards less than two weeks ago at UFC 296. While Covington wants to be involved in politics down the line, he has no intention of hanging up his gloves just yet. “I feel like when you start putting that one foot out and start thinking about what’s next, then you should probably retire,” Covington said on the PBD Podcast .
