When former interim welterweight titleholder  Colby Covington steps in the octagon on Saturday against  Joaquin Buckley in the UFC on ESPN 63 main event, it will have been a year since “Chaos” last fought and exactly five years since he first fought for the undisputed title.   Covington has fought for the undisputed welterweight championship three times but was unable to capture the title.  He was defeated twice by  Kamaru Usman in championship bouts and by  Leon Edwards .  The loss to Edwards last December was the ‘lowest of lows.’   “It’s been a year since my last fight, and I’ve used that time to really grow myself as a martial artist and as a person,” Covington said on “UFC Journey.” “Mentally speaking, I’m in a better place than I’ve ever been. After I lost three shots at the undisputed title, it felt like the lowest of lows. “I lost and forgot who I was, and that was a good reminder that woke me up again.
