LOS ANGELES – While Ronda Rousey ‘s submission game is well-documented, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion’s head coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, says future opponents better defend their ribs, as well. During a media and workout session on Monday in Los Angeles, Edmond Tarverdyan said the UFC 170 headliner continues to make steady progress in the standup department. He said the top-level boxers he trains have also noticed Rousey’s steady progress, though he stopped short of saying it’ll be part of the game plan for next week’s return to the cage. “I’m not going to give out what she’s going to do, but I’ll be honest: We get boxing world champions in here – girls – and she drops all of them with body shots,” Tarverdyan said.
