UFC president Dana White seems open to a boxing match between UFC women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes and undefeated boxing middleweight champion and former gold medal winner Claressa Shields . When asked by TMZ , White said he’s not opposed to the fight and praised Nunes’ power for “hitting like a truck.” For that reason, he thinks Nunes would have a chance. Speaking to Sirius XM’s “MMA Tonight,” Shields (9-0 boxing) responded and said she’d be willing to box Nunes (18-4 MMA, 11-1 UFC), under one condition: if it’s at 154 pounds. “I give her full props – in MMA right now, she would beat me, at this point,” Shields said. “If we’re talking about we had to fight tomorrow, she would beat me, and at this point, if me and her were to fight tomorrow, I would knock her out in a boxing match, so that’s just pretty clear.
