Former light heavyweight champion Phil Davis returns to action at Bellator 245 looking to reposition himself for a shot at his old title, and he’ll be aiming to add the name of Lyoto Machida to his personal Bellator highlight reel in the process. Davis (21-5 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) captured the Bellator 205-pound strap back in November 2016 when he outpointed Liam McGeary at Bellator 163, but lost the belt to Ryan Bader in his first title defense at Bellator NYC the following June. Now “Mr. Wonderful” is looking to battle his way back to the top of the division, where he’s bidding to earn himself a second shot at the title, and a rematch with the last man to beat him, newly crowned champ Vadim Nemkov. Davis takes on former UFC light heavyweight champ Machida (26-9 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) in a 205-pound rematch at Bellator 245 in Uncasville, Conn
