Chase Gormley Resurrecting Once Promising Career

Heavyweight Chase Gormley ‘s career has had three distinct acts. Following an eight-fight winning streak to start his career, Gormley won only twice over the course of his next seven bouts before leaving the sport for two years. Finally, in 2014, he returned to fighting and has won four straight. “Everything I wanted to accomplish, I think I got done,” said Gormley of his return last year. “I wanted to fight more often and fight good opponents. I think my skills are a lot better since the last time I was I fighting around 2011, 2012.” Now that he’s had a chance to start fresh, Gormley sees where he went wrong during the first two parts of his career and has made changes for his most recent incarnation.
