Twenty-four hours after Jason High revealed that he had to withdraw from UFC Fight Night 35 due to a ruptured appendix, the UFC already has a replacement in place to face Beneil Dariush. UFC officials on Thursday confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that verbal agreements are in place for Charlie Brenneman to make his Octagon return. He has agreed to face Dariush at the Jan. 15 event in Duluth, Ga. Dariush was himself a replacement for High’s original opponent Adlan Amagov. A decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, Dariush gave up grappling competitions for mixed martial arts, where he has run his record to six victories and no defeats.
