Chad Mendes showed on Saturday that he’s without a doubt one of the top contenders in the UFC featherweight division with his steamrolling of Ricardo Lamas in the UFC Fight Night 63 main event . After his technical-knockout win, Mendes found himself in a place where his focus will be on four fighters: Jose Aldo , Conor McGregor , Frankie Edgar and Mendes’ teammate, Urijah Faber . Those four will duke it out in the coming months and Mendes will face one of the winners, maybe even Faber. Now’s the time to figure things out. “I’m going to have to talk to the UFC and see, but I don’t want to sit out for another year,” Mendes said during the post-fight press conference.
