Jared Scoggins has some new hardware. The 25-year-old prospect picked up the vacant bantamweight CFFC title in the main event of CFFC 84 on Thursday night at the Horeshoe Tunica Hotel and Casino in Robinsonville, Miss. Scoggins (10-1 MMA) outpointed Thomas Vasquez in a dominant unanimous decision win. Scoggins wasn’t afraid to stand with Vasquez (8-5 MMA), but his wrestling and ground control really stood out and made the difference in the bout. In rounds two, three and four, Scoggins took down Vasquez, controlled him on the ground, and took dominant positions.
