Boston, prepare for a surge of Irish fight fans in January at UFC Fight Night 59. Already featuring featherweight headliner Conor McGregor and flyweight Patrick Holohan, the event now has a third Irish fighter: Cathal Pendred (15-2-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC), who takes on fellow welterweight Sean Spencer (12-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC). UFC officials today announced the bout. UFC Fight Night 59 takes place Jan. 18 at Boston’s TD Garden. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims expected for FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass.
