On Tuesday, UFC officials announced a pivotal welterweight match between Carlos Condit and Tyron Woodley has been scheduled for UFC 171 on March 15 in Dallas. UFC president Dana White on Friday revealed that the bout would also serve as the UFC 171 co-main event. Condit vs. Woodley supports the main event battle between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lalwer for the UFC welterweight championship recently vacated by Georges St-Pierre . Condit (29-7) is a former UFC interim welterweight champion, having earned that crown with a unanimous-decision win over Nick Diaz at UFC 143.
