Following a series of health-related setbacks, which cost him around 20 months worth of fighting, former UFC welterweight Brian Foster has rebounded over the last couple years with a four-fight winning streak. Foster’s success has forced him to up his game with the level of competition he’s facing now, which considering past difficulties could be the best thing for him. “I was more along the lines of training myself,” Foster told MMAWeekly.com. “The victories were solely contributed to myself and discipline and love of the game. My experience got me through it. “After my last victory against Gilbert Smith in Titan FC (last May), I started going to a legitimate camp again and put a little more stock into moving forward.” Prior to his recent run, it just wasn’t feasible for Foster to invest in big training camps due to his medical problems derailing his fight career.
