Bellator’s second event of the year took place Friday with Bellator 256 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The opening fight of the Bellator light heavyweight grand prix headlined the card. Former champ Ryan Bader (28-6 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) became the first man to advance to the semifinal round when he beat Lyoto Machida (26-11 MMA, 2-3 BMMA) by unanimous decision , avenging a knockout loss from August 2012.
