TEMECULA, Calif. – Getting back to the cage isn’t a victory for former Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus , though by all appearances, it should be. Straus (28-9 MMA, 11-5 BMMA), 34, couldn’t walk for several days after a motorcycle accident in Florida. The fact that he’s about to fight Shane Krutchen (12-4 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) at Bellator 219 seems like a minor miracle, though people closest to him aren’t that surprised. “A lot of us close to him, I don’t know how to put it, we just felt that his perseverance was going to push him through,” Straus manager Matt Aptaker told MMA Junkie.
