INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Derek Campos showed Derek Anderson some leniency by agreeing to a catchweight fight instead of penalizing Anderson after he badly missed weight for their Bellator 170 contest. Campos (18-6 MMA, 7-4 BMMA) didn’t show Anderson (14-3 MMA, 5-3 BMMA) any of that same leniency in the cage, though, because the power striking and knockdowns landed on his opponent made the difference and earned him a unanimous decision victory. The 161-pound catchweight bout opened the Spike-televised main card of Saturday’s event at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. Prelims streamed on MMAjunkie. The opening round of the fight was closely contested.
