Roan Carneiro After winning the single-night BattleGrounds MMA welterweight tournament in October, veteran Roan Carneiro is apparently back in the UFC. Carneiro (19-9 MMA, 2-3 UFC), who’s won seven of eight fights since his first UFC stint in 2008, recently announced the news and posted a photo of a signed contract (via Instagram ): “Jucao,” a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who now trains with American Top Team, didn’t disclose any information about his first fight back in the octagon. Carneiro went 2-3 in his first UFC stint from 2007-2008 while defeating the likes of Rich Clementi and Tony DeSouza, and losing to Jon Fitch, Ryo Chonan and Kevin Burns
