EDMONTON – Alexis Davis finds herself in a tough spot heading into UFC 240 on Saturday night. Since dropping down to flyweight, she has gone 1-2, losing her last two in a row, to Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia. She will look to avoid a three-fight losing skid, when she takes on Viviane Araujo at Rogers Place. The preliminary matchup airs on ESPN following early prelims on ESPN+ and a preceding a main card on pay-per-view. The veteran former UFC bantamweight title challenger Davis won’t let her situation faze her, however, as she looks to notch her 20th career win. “I think at first, I was kind of like, ‘I’ve really got to push, I really need this win,’ and sometimes it’s like three strikes and you’re out,” Davis told MMA Junkie.
