Mendes (5-0), a Brazilian who has all five of his wins by stoppage, including three straight under the Legacy FC banner, is pushing for a bantamweight title fight with the organization. The promotion’s 135-pound belt currently is vacant. But right now, he’ll take whatever moves him forward to the ultimate goal of signing with the UFC.
