A little less than two years ago, then-UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao had a notorious 33-fight undefeated streak snapped by underdog T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 173. A rematch was scheduled but got scrapped the day before its set date, when Barao fell ill cutting weight . An overall irregular — though winning — performance against Mitch Gagnon and another loss to Dillashaw later, Barao was no longer on top of the world.
