Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC) suffered one of the most horrific injuries in UFC history when his leg snapped in half during his UFC 168 rematch with champ Chris Weidman. It was the kind of injury that would put an end to the athletic careers of many people, especially 38 year-old men whose bodies carry the wear of 16 years of mileage on the MMA circuit.
