Former middleweight champion Anderson Silva tested positive for two anabolic steroids prior to his UFC 183 fight against Nick Diaz on Jan. 31 and failed his post-fight drug test. It was the 39-year-old’s comeback fight after suffering a broken leg at UFC 168 in December 2013. Silva can’t explain what happened that led to the positive drug tests and says that the medication he was on while recovering from the broken leg and the supplements he was using are being analyzed. He’s currently suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission, but plans to return in 2016 and fight for five more years. “I will be back next year,” Silva said during a Q&A session following a seminar in Rio de Janeiro
