Anderson Silva Anderson Silva ’s legacy took a significant hit when the UFC middleweight legend failed multiple drug tests surrounding his UFC 183 win over Nick Diaz. But Silva (34-6 MMA, 17-2 UFC) is fighting back against those who feel he’s a cheater or has been cheating his entire career with a new post on Instagram . Silva’s punishment for the drug test failures has not yet been handed down, leaving him in a sort of limbo. “As for my doping case, I am waiting for the commission and my lawyers,” Silva wrote. “I’m not a cheat and never had a pumped body.” The former champion, who dropped his title to Chris Weidman at UFC 162 after 16 consecutive octagon victories, would go on to direct fans to look at his time in the Japanese PRIDE promotion. During that time, Silva said, he competed at 80 kilograms (176 pounds) because there was not a 185 pound division and was fighting men who were more suited to the modern light heavyweight division
