There’s been quite a bit of confusion regarding a potential fight between Al Iaquinta and Dan Hooker . Hooker initially mentioned Iaquinta’s name following his  first-round knockout win over James Vick at July’s UFC on ESPN 4, and the two have been going back and forth ever since. Hooker says the UFC offered him the fight with Iaquinta for UFC 243 in Australia in October but Iaquinta turned it down . Speaking to MMA Junkie Radio, Iaquinta denied turning down the fight, saying that the UFC never put the matchup on the table. In fact, Iaquinta says he’s the one that spoke the contest into potential existence when he told the UFC that he wanted the fight. “The fight was never offered to me – in fact, I was the one that offered it to Dan Hooker,” Iaquinta said
