Filed under: Featured , Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos OTTAWA, Canada – With Saturday’s bout against Joanne Calderwood at UFC Fight Night 89 set to take place in the flyweight division, Valerie Letourneau says she never wants to cut down to strawweight again. Letourneau made three grueling cuts down to 115 pounds, including an unsuccessful challenge against the champion of the weight class, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, at UFC 193 in November. Starting out at 140 pounds, Letourneau never looked physically healthy dropping down. She said she hopes the UFC permanently introduces a 125-pound weight class so she never has to do it again. “I thought I was going to die that day,” Letourneau told MMAjunkie of her weight cut ahead of UFC 193
