LAS VEGAS – Cub Swanson is grateful to be a UFC fighter. Swanson (29-13 MMA, 14-9 UFC) faces Andre Fili (23-11 MMA, 11-10 UFC) on Saturday’s UFC 303 (pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+ ) prelims at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A 42-fight veteran, Swanson is one of the longest-tenured active UFC fighters. He acknowledges the end is near, but he couldn’t imagine doing anything else in life but fighting in the octagon. “It literally saved my life,” Swanson told MMA Junkie and other reporters at a pre-fight news conference Wednesday. “I was not doing well in life.
