MELBOURNE, Australia – It wasn’t that long ago UFC heavyweight Yorgan De Castro didn’t have shoes to wear while he ran around the streets in Cape Verde. Saturday night, De Castro (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will compete in front of 60,000 people in the biggest MMA organization in the world, when he takes on Justin Tafa (3-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC 243. The event will mark De Castro’s debut in the organization. He earned his UFC deal with an impressive first-round, leg-kicks-and-punches finish of Alton Meeks at “Dana White’s Contender Series” this past summer.
