Filed under: Featured Videos , News , Videos After a tough title loss, an extended layoff and a seemingly difficult weight cut for her long-awaited return fight, Irene Aldana is again feeling pretty confident. At Friday’s Invicta FC 16 event, Aldana (6-2) used first-round body shots to set up a TKO victory over fellow bantamweight Jessamyn Duke (3-4). The bout, which streamed on UFC Fight Pass from Trinidad Pavilion at Tropicana Las Vegas, was Aldana’s first since July 2015, when the 27-year-old Mexican suffered a fourth-round TKO loss to bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger (16-6). Evinger, who’s No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie women’s MMA bantamweight rankings thanks to an eight-fight winning streak, is again in Aldana’s sights.
