There were a couple things people thought they knew for sure when Liz Carmouche faced Ronda Rousey in the UFC’s first women’s bout at UFC 157 in February. One was that Carmouche stood absolutely no chance against Rousey, who entered the fight as a 12-1 favorite over the little-known underdog from San Diego. The other was that no matter how the fight turned out, it was a historic event that would change both women’s lives forever. At least one of those predictions turned out to be true, in a way. These days Carmouche isn’t exactly a superstar.
